The JAM (Jesus And Me) Conference

Three days of growth…
Two nights of fun…
One massive servant event…
ALL GLORY TO GOD!

The JAM Conference will take place at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Solon, Ohio on Friday, February 17 through Sunday, February 19, 2012.

The cost is only $40 and includes housing, all meals, transportation to and from servant events, and an evening at The Solon Community Center. Those wishing to participate in JAM on Saturday only can purchase a day-pass for $32. The registration needs to be postmarked by January 17 , 2012 or the cost will be $60 for the weekend and $52 for a Saturday pass.

The focus for the weekend will be servant leadership as modeled by Christ. The Scriptural basis for JAM is found in Philippians 2:1-11 (being imitators of Christ's humility) and Matthew 25:31-40 (helping those in need). Our hope is that The JAM Conference will provide those gathered with the opportunity to experience how they change the world in the name of Jesus Christ through service and outreach to the Cleveland-area community.

Special attractions featured at JAM will be:

Messages from Lisa Hellyer . . . Lisa is a speaker, educator and youth minister. She has been on the main stage at the National Youth Gatherings. As a director to the senior high youth, Lisa's heart rejoices with ministering and sharing Christ with youth. She captivates listeners with her wit, humor, and stories of how God works in our lives.

Songs of praise and devotion from Hearts of Saints Hearts of Saints is a Kentucky Christian rock/pop dance band with a passion to encourage and refresh 'the hearts of saints' and youth through their music and ministry. They have performed for audiences around the nation, Samples of their music can be found at their website at www.heartsofsaints.com.

A Saturday afternoon of Christ-like service and outreach to Cleveland's community in need… All JAM participants will load into buses and vans and head-out to serve others in a number of pre-arranged mission sites. Each group will be given disposable cameras to make memories. Upon their return from serving, these cameras will be immediately developed and turned into a collage in order to showcase the service of JAM participants.

Saturday evening activities at the Solon Community Center … The Solon Community Center is a 94,000 square foot facility with tons of great activities for JAM participants. These include indoor rock climbing, a three on three basketball tournament, full court volleyball and a juice bar. Those wishing to simply hang out for the evening can do so in the coffee house portion of the center and even bring their instruments to share their musical gifts and talents.

If there is any more information I can provide, please don’t hesitate to call me. We are all very excited about this event and would love to have you join us for this awesome weekend.

See you in February!
